Save Our Pharmacies!
Residents in Lyme Regis are being left without a local pharmacy, forcing many, including older people and those without transport, to travel out of town just to collect essential prescriptions.
The Jhoots pharmacy in Bridport has closed, after weeks without medicine being supplied, where pharmacists are frequently unavailable and staff being left without wages. This is unacceptable.
Pharmacies are a lifeline. They provide not only prescriptions but also healthcare advice, support for long-term conditions, and trusted, local NHS services. Losing them leaves vulnerable residents struggling and piles more pressure on already overstretched GPs and independent pharmacies in other towns.
Edward Morello MP and the West Dorset Liberal Democrats are calling on NHS Dorset to ensure there is a physical pharmacy in Lyme Regis and for a new operator to take over the pharmacy at Bridport Medical Centre.
We Need Our Pharmacies!
I support Edward to call on NHS Dorset to ensure there is a physical pharmacy in Lyme Regis and to find a new operator for the pharmacy at Bridport Medical Centre.
