Dorset's Car Parking Chaos
Conservative-run Dorset Council is planning another major increase in car parking charges.
This comes despite the fact that the car parking system is still plagued with problems. Car parks are often in a poor condition, without adequate lighting, and charging machines are often broken.

Many local residents still report issues with the Shopper’s Permit system. The Council has had to give refunds to many residents because the system has not been working as intended.
Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate Edward Morello said: “It’s totally unreasonable for Dorset Council to hike prices while these issues remain.”
“Yet again, we see the Conservatives ignoring local people’s concerns. West Dorset’s residents have been taken for granted for too long. The Lib Dems say West Dorset deserves better than this Conservative Chaos.”
