Kitt Hill: Road finally fully reopens!

The roadworks on the A30 at Kitt Hill have finally been cleared. The road has now fully reopened to traffic, after more than a year of disruption to residents.
The last of the roadworks were finished in April. Motorists can now get from one end of Sherborne to the other without having to sit in long tailbacks.
Cllr Matt Hall welcomed the news. He said: “For more than a year, the events at Kitt Hill have been a major headache for everyone in Sherborne. I’m glad to see the road has now fullyreopened, andIhopethis is now the end of the saga.”
Your Lib Dem Councillors are calling for Dorset Council to learn lessons from Kitt Hill. Cllr Jon Andrews has asked for the whole issue to come before a Council Committee to understand why certain decisions were taken.
Jon said: “Kitt Hill was a nightmare for residents for more than a year. We need to understand exactly why decisions were made. That way, lessons can be learned for any future incidents.”
“Liberal Democrats will keep standing up for Sherborne at County Hall.”
