Year 10 Gifted and Talented students from Parkside School in Chesterfield enjoyed a day in London on Monday 10th July, where they were shown around the Houses of Parliament by their constituency MP Paul Holmes. The students were shown both the Houses of Commons and Lords, before participating in a question and answer session with Paul.

Speaking at the Tom Paine Festival in Lewes on the topic of 'A Liberal Britain in a Liberal World'. Sir Menzies set out his vision for a more liberal and secure Britain, including scrapping ID cards to boost police numbers, calling for greater government transparency and advocating the strengthening of international institutions.
