At a meeting on 3rd September, Epsom & Walton Downs Conservators gave the go-ahead for two days of concerts (13th and 14th June 2009) on Epsom Downs and their decision was approved with support from the Borough Council at a specially convened meeting on Friday 12th September.
The Liberal Democrats kicked off their conference in Bournemouth this afternoon by discussing the motion "Giving Citizens a Voice in Parliament" which looked at ways the link between citizens and democracy can be improved.
Folkestone Lib Dem campaigner Gary Fuller has received confirmation from Kent County Councillor Roland Tolputt that Kent Highways will take action on potholes in Central Folkestone. Gary received the confirmation four weeks after taking the County Councillor on a walking tour of the many damaged streets in the centre of the town.
Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Friday 12th September) backed calls by North East LibDem MSP Alison McInnes, who has contacted the owners of Radio Tay after plans emerged for standardising evening and overnight broadcasts across seven Scottish stations.
Zöe Franklin is the new Liberal Democrat councilor for Stoke ward after being elected on Thursday. Zöe won with an increased share of the vote (56%) and an increased majority (454).
