Minimum Rise in Council Tax

Council tax in the Leicestershire area have risen by 2.9% overall - a figure which includes the fire authorities 5% tax rise. This means that local council tax has been risen in line with inflation for the second year running, reflecting the Liberal-Democrat led council's commitment to providing an efficient service that gives the best possible value for money.
