Sweetman Street drainage problems to be solved

A resident contacted Councillor Robin Lawrence to complain about flooding problems and he demanded an investigation from the City Council's Highways Division so as to put an end to the flooding nuisance. Thanks to these actions by Councillor Lawrence the Council has promised to repair the problem leaving the residents flood free.Claire Darke said "You can rely on Park Ward Liberal Democrats to take residents' concerns seriously and deal with problems swiftly. A resident of Sweetman Place had been promised action by the Tories twenty years ago but nothing happened.

1984 Arrived A Little Late

Question: Do your windows have curtains, blinds, nets? Do you draw them at night? Why? Mainly to protect your privacy - you may not "have anything to hide" but some things are simply private, nobody else's business. It is the same with all of your most personal life details: you may occasionally need to reveal some details to officials for specific purposes, but do not want to have your personal life on public display.

A disturbed night's sleep may increase the risk of developing diabetes, US research has suggested. The US team discovered that volunteers who were roused whenever they were about to fall into the deepest sleep developed insulin resistance.

A fantastic 2007; all the best for a great 2008!

2007 was the year of elections - that the Lib Dems in this area kept winning! In 2008 Chelmsford Lib Dems will build a stronger local party - in order to hold all five County Council seats in 2009 and elect a Lib Dem MP. Said Parliamentary Candidate Stephen Robinson, "We will campaign for REAL action to protect the health service and to cut crime. But we also need to shake up the political system that has failed people for far too long. Labour and the Conservatives will argue over which of them should control everything. Only the Lib Dems will argue that people should have more control over their own lives."
