Redevelopment of St-John's Road

Many Epping residents will know about the county council's plan to relocate Epping Junior School to a new combined Infant and Junior school in Coronation Hill. The former Youth and Adult Centre, temporarily used by Epping Infant School, will also be vacant. This will result in a large county owned site becoming available for redevelopment and Epping Forest District Council has announced it is looking at the future of the adjacent Epping Depot. In addition the county council owns the derelict garages behind the library and St John's Church is planning to redevelop part of its property.

Wolverhampton Council not interested in plastic recycling

Over-use of plastic packaging is a problem that manufacturers and retailers are failing to deal with leaving Wolverhampton council with the problem of what to do with up to 90 tonnes per week of plastics. Wolverhampton's ineffective Labour controlled council currently incinerates all plastic waste, doing little to reduce, re-use or recycle any of it.

MP calls for complete ban on third party lobbying

An incident involving a Rochdale planning application was held up as the worst type of 'spinning' by an influential Common's Committee. The committee in the House of Commons has heard evidence about the behaviour of Countryside Properties over the Spodden Valley planning application. The influential Public Administration Select Committee has just started a new investigation into the role of lobbyists in the UK's politics and public life.
