Allow social landlords to buy unsellable houses
Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor Dr Vince Cable MP has called for councils to engage in large scale acquisition of houses that cannot be sold in the current depressed housing market. The move would provide homes for the homeless or for those who cannot afford to buy or rent in the private sector.

Park Ward Councillor Surgeries
Park Ward Lib Dem Councillors will be holding a "surgery" for residents on the 1st Saturday of every month. They will be in Grace Taylor Hall in Broadmead Village, Folkestone from 10am to 12noon starting on Saturday 2nd August 2008.
