Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary Nick Clegg MP visited Chesterfield on Friday. The MP for nearby Sheffield Hallam paid Chesterfield a visit to see the new safety measures employed by Chesterfield Borough Council. Along with Paul Holmes, MP for Chesterfield, Nick visited Chesterfield Police Station on Beetwell Street to discuss the type of crimes local people are facing.
Paul Holmes recently visited the Schoolfriend after school club at William Rhodes Primary School.

In a 10 minute bill presented to parliament today, Lib Dem MP for Southport John Pugh has called on parliament to lift the cloud of suspicion and allegation that hangs over the Al-Yamamah and other international contracts by providing a proper means of parliamentary scrutiny.
