Folkestone Town Council Backs Harcourt School Campaign

Folkestone Town Council last night backed a motion against the proposed closure of Harcourt School. The motion was proposed and seconded by Cheriton Lib Dem Councillors Tim Prater and Peter Gane, and means the Town Council will also be adding its backing to those opposing the closure in the Kent County Council consultation which closes today.

Tories Select Northampton Damian for Folkestone & Hythe

Following the Conservatives selection meeting last night, the next Conservative candidate for Folkestone and Hythe will be Damian Collins. Mr Collins stood and lost in Northampton North in the East Midlands in the 2005. As widely predicted, the Conservatives chose to overlook the two female candidates.

DELGA at Oxford LGBT Pride 2006

The Liberal Democrats will have a stall at LGBT Pride in Oxford tomorrow, July 15th. DELGA members and supporters coming along to the event - do come and say hello or even lend a hand on the stall for a while.
