Liberal Democrats at Essex County Council have put forward plans for members of the public to take part in open council meetings at county hall. A motion submitted by the group, proposes a 'public questions' spot at meetings of the full council, where any member of the public can put a question directly to the administration.
Responding to the Government's Consultation on Eco-Towns, Bedford Borough Lib Dems have objected to the proposed development for the Northern Marston Vale. The submission also calls for all new housing developments to be built to high standards of environmental sustainability, and not just a select few eco-towns.

A very successful day for DELGA at Pride London 2008, where our members took part on the parade as part of the walking groups, on a warm, sunny but blustery afternoon in London. The response from the throngs of spectators lining the route from Baker Street to Trafalgar Square was very positive and appreciative towards us and we stood out well with our luminous yellow barrier, with black lettering "LIBERAL DEMOCRATS 4 LGBT ACTION".
